Request repeat prescription - Wainuiomata clinic
You may not need a doctor appointment
If you are an enroled patient who has medications regularly prescribed by your GP you may arrange to pick up a repeat prescription from HUTT CITY HEALTH CENTRE or we can fax it directly to your pharmacist.
If you have recently enrolled with us and have not seen a doctor yet, you'll need to make an appointment before we can issue your prescription.
In some cases your GP will need to see you to review your progress before a script can be given.
How long will your repeat prescription take?
You can pick up your repeat script (cost is $18.00) from our medical centre within 2-3 working days. Phone us to make sure it's ready before coming in to pick up your medicine. If your medication runs out before then, please contact HUTT CITY HEALTH CENTRE and let us know.
In some cases your GP will need to see you to review your progress before a repeat prescription can be given.
Why is there a charge for repeat prescriptions?
Providing you with a repeat prescription can involve the time of a receptionist, a nurse and your doctor.
Does a repeat prescription cost more online?
You will be charged the same fee for online repeat scripts as for scripts requested by phone ($18.00). However you will be asked to pay an extra $5.00 if we fax it to your pharmacist.
How to request a repeat prescription online
Fill in one of the following Repeat Prescription forms.
When ordering your repeat prescription list by name all medications that you require so you get exactly what you need. There is also a space on the order form where you must list any allergies you may have to medications. This is important.
If you would like the script faxed to a pharmacy, please provide the details of your pharmacy including a fax number.
